The Euthanasia Op: Don’t Succumb to Hollywood’s “Choose Death” Programming

Life in society is based on relationships of mutual trust among all citizens. Everyone must be sure that nobody will kill him. … Do not forget that for a citizen to kill another (for reasons of false compassion) opens a Pandora’s box.”

Independent journalist Celia Farber has tracked the “death cult” enabled by Big Medicine and Big Pharma ever since the AIDS era. In a September 3 post at her Truth Barrier Substack, she chillingly notes that a new movie by well-known Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar—his first English-language film—not only glamorizes euthanasia but received a 17-minute standing ovation at the film’s Venice Film Festival premiere. At a press conference, Almodóvar openly described the film as “pro-euthanasia” and his death-choosing heroine as someone to admire.

Policies and propaganda promoting medical interventions to expedite death (referred to by various terms including “euthanasia,” “assisted suicide,” and “assisted dying”) are proliferating worldwide. The eligibility criteria for euthanasia—which many critics view as a back-door strategy to depopulate—are also expanding, with some countries now allowing medicalized killing of babies, children, individuals with autism, and people who are depressed. Economists are also publishing reports about the significant cost savings that health systems could enjoy by stepping up their application of “medical assistance in dying.”

In the U.S., states like Vermont that have legalized physician-assisted suicide are encouraging out-of-staters to avail themselves of the service. During Covid, Vermont also legalized telemedicine as a route for “aid in dying,” waiving the 48-hour waiting period and granting full legal immunity to health care providers and pharmacists.

For a different perspective, Solari subscribers may wish to read the 2017 article, “Destiny and the Process of Dying,” originally published in Thomas Meyer’s The Present Age magazine and republished at Solari. The reflections by a Dutch general practitioner with training in anthroposophical medicine are, by his own admission, “profound.”
