Hero of the Week: May 20, 2024: Robert Fico, Slovakian Prime Minister

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine!”
~ Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo

Our Hero of the Week is Slovakian president Robert Fico. President Fico has been critical of Western involvement in Ukraine, has ordered an investigation into the COVID-19 response and vaccines, and also recently refused to sign the World Health Organization (WHO) pandemic treaty (now being passed off as a pandemic “agreement”).

On the topic of the WHO gambit, Fico stated last November:

“In the same way, I also very clearly declare, that SMER Slovakian Social Democracy (the ruling political party) will NOT support the strengthening of World Health Organization’s powers at the expense of sovereign states in managing the fight against pandemics. I will say that such nonsense could only have been invented by greedy pharmaceutical companies which began to perceive the resistance of certain governments against mandatory vaccination.”

On May 15, Fico survived an assassination attempt in central Slovakia; he was shot multiple times while greeting supporters. Reports indicate that he is currently in serious but stable condition.

We thank President Fico for his courageous stance and wish him a full and swift recovery. Please keep him and his family and colleagues in your prayers.
