We are deeply saddened at the news that Rhonda Massie, beloved wife of Congressman Thomas Massie from Kentucky’s 4th District, passed away on June 27.

Congressman Massie announced on social media:

“Yesterday my high school sweetheart, the love of my life for over 35 years, the loving mother of our 4 children, the smartest kindest woman I ever knew, my beautiful and wise queen forever, Rhonda went to Heaven. Thank you for your prayers for our family in this difficult time.”

Describing his wife’s many accomplishments, including being high school valedictorian and earning a degree in mechanical engineering from MIT, the Congressman noted that she “devoted her life to [their] family.” The Massies had just returned from touring Mt. Rainier with their grandson.

Congressman Massie is no stranger at the Solari Report, where his brave and resourceful actions in Congress—no doubt shored up by his wife’s loving support—have earned him a record-setting eight spotlights as Hero or Pushback of the Week; the most recent of his interviews on the Solari Food Series published less than two weeks ago.

For those wanting to offer support, here are some suggestions:

  • Keep Congressman Massie and his family in your prayers. Ask every coherent, sane person you know to pray for him.
  • Send a card to his Northern Kentucky office (541 Buttermilk Pike, Suite 208, Crescent Springs, KY 41017) that describes how much his work means to you and the people of Kentucky, the U.S., and freedom lovers everywhere.
  • Send him a campaign donation—no amount is too small. It is a prayer.
  • If the family directs donations in Rhonda’s name, make a donation. Again, no amount is too small. Numbers and taking the time is what counts.
  • If there is a church service in Kentucky that is announced, go and stand outside and pray to show support.
  • As your representatives to support the Prime Act; ask your Congressman to support Congressman Massie and co-sponsor his bills.
