Dr. Mercola is our hero again this week for filing a lawsuit against U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren for violating the First Amendment. Read Dr. Mercola’s article about the lawsuit here.
In early September 2021, Warren sent a letter to Andy Jassy, chief executive officer of Amazon, demanding an immediate review of the company’s algorithms to weed out books peddling “COVID misinformation,” stressing that Amazon’s sale of such books was “potentially unlawful.” As a government official, it is illegal for Warren to violate the U.S. Constitution, and pressuring private businesses to do it for her is not a legal workaround.
Warren singled out Dr. Mercola’s book, The Truth About COVID-19, as a highly-ranked example of “misinformation.” The book was published in April 2021 and was an immediate bestseller.
The lawsuit is being filed by Dr. Mercola along with his co-author Ronnie Cummins (founder and director of the Organic Consumers Association), his publisher Chelsea Green Publishing, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who wrote the foreword.
