This musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda is an opportunity to revisit the American Revolution in the late 1700s, and the principals of freedom, liberty and equality. The story is told through the eyes of Alexander Hamilton, one of the American republic’s founding fathers who designed a major portion of the Constitution and, as first Secretary of the Treasury, designed the early American financial system. The story is told in a way that is accessible to a much broader audience thanks to its irresistible beat of hip-hop, R&B, soul, and rap.
