We have a duty to save seeds!” ~ Dr. Vandana Shiva

Dr. Vandana Shiva is a powerhouse and gigantic advocate of food independence and local food production and farming.

This week on the Solari Report, we continue to emphasize food sovereignty and the need to prepare for real struggles in food supplies ahead. Sovereignty in food and nutrition begins with seeds, and Vandana Shiva’s work goes to the very root of liberty—the sustenance of life on earth.

The small farmer is the last free person on this planet.”

The Seeds of Vandana Shiva is both a portrait of decades of Shiva’s work as an untiring catalyst and activist as well as inspiration for change and solutions that have saved and will save countless lives, not only among Indian farmers but ultimately globally by overcoming a multinational seed dictatorship.

Vandana Shiva is the reason why there are no GMO foods in India.”

This is a beautifully rendered and narrated film furnishing many heretofore unknown details about her life, thinking, and historical and contemporary experiences. Despite occasional unreflective promotion of “climate change,” the film offers the viewer a profound education through the words and authenticity of an intellectual and humanitarian female warrior.

Highly recommended!
