One of the best-known cases is the implosion and shock privatization of Russia after the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1989. We have two interviews with Anne Williamson that cover this material. Anne is the author of Contagion: The Betrayal of Liberty: Russia and the United States in the 1990s, which was published in serialized form in London years ago and is no longer available. I have been searching for Anne as well as a copy to see if I can make it available.
Another recommended source is Sergei Glazyev’s Genocide: Russia and the New World Order. Glazyev is a Russian economist who serves as a member of the National Financial Council of the Bank of Russia. He has also served as minister of Foreign Economic Relations and advisor to the president of the Russian Federation and is an executive member of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Glazyev brings a wealth of data and statistics to help his readers understand the political and economic collapse in Russia at that time. Among other things, this is important context to understand the tensions between the Western and Russian political and financial leadership today.
