In 2008, the Solari Report helped organize and produce the First Financial Permaculture Summit in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Local leaders and legislators, representatives of grassroots movements, and international permaculture experts came together to strengthen local economic and financial resiliency and decentralize economic and political developments.

We are using the documentary about the Summit as our Blast from the Past alongside this week’s interview with Pete Kennedy on actions that state and local officials can take to strengthen local economies and food systems.
